Set in Runaway Bay on the Gold Coast, this waterfront home by Living Dream Kitchens is layered with moments of interest. From the first view through to the water, to the curve of the ceiling, the warmth of the timber veneer, the movement of natural stone and the considered hardware selections throughout, each detail plays a part in shaping the way the home is experienced.

Led by Lucas Gallagher, owner of Living Dream Kitchens, Poseidon brings together open-plan living, warm materiality and a refined approach to everyday function. It is a home that feels generous and relaxed, yet highly resolved in its detailing.

For Momo Handles, Poseidon is a beautiful example of how hardware can become part of the broader design language of a home. Not as an afterthought, but as a detail that supports the feeling, function and finish of each space.

A home with something to discover in every direction

As Lucas explains, what makes this project so memorable is that “everywhere you look, there’s something interesting. That idea sits at the heart of Poseidon. The home has been designed as an experience, with each space opening naturally into the next while still offering its own sense of intimacy.

The kitchen, dining and living areas flow together as one open-plan space, yet the use of curved ceilings, warm cabinetry, layered textures and distinct zones creates softness and separation.

The result is a home that feels expansive without losing its warmth. There is a considered balance between everyday family living and elevated entertaining.

Warm timber, natural stone and hardware with presence

The joinery throughout Poseidon plays a central role in the overall design. Rich timber veneer brings depth and warmth to the interior palette, while natural stone adds movement, variation and a sculptural quality to the kitchen and living spaces. Lucas speaks to the importance of selecting finishes that feel natural and authentic. Rather than choosing materials that feel overly uniform, the project embraces the character and variation of timber and stone. The result is layered, textural and quietly luxurious.

Momo Handles were selected to complement this material direction. The hardware sits confidently against the timber veneer, adding definition to the cabinetry while enhancing the overall sense of craftsmanship. In close-up, the handles bring a tactile quality to the space, with each touchpoint contributing to the daily experience of the home.

The Belgravia range in Bronze

A key detail within the project is the use of the Momo Plain Textured Belgravia range in Bronze. Against the warm veneer and natural stone, the Belgravia hardware adds a refined architectural edge. Its form feels substantial without overpowering the cabinetry, allowing the surrounding materials to remain the focus.

The use of a consistent hardware range also creates cohesion throughout the home. From cabinet handles to door hardware and cavity slider details, the continuity of finish and form helps the interiors feel resolved.
